Animal Care and Control

The Pembroke Animal Care and Control Officer is Lee-Ann Meehl.  

To report lost or found animals, animal complaints and leash law violations or to ask any other related question, please call the non-emergency line at the Police Department at 781-293-6363 or contact the animal care facility at 781-293-5288

For all emergencies including roadway accidents (deer strikes) and animal attacks, please dial 911.

Hours:        Animal pound hours vary depending on calls to service; the Animal Care and Control Officer is mobile and responsive 24 hours a day in emergencies. Calls to the Pembroke Animal Care Facility may go to voicemail depending upon service calls. If no one is in the facility at the time of your call, please leave the ACCO a message to arrange a time to meet or speak at 781-293-5288.

For medical providers, please fax all incident reports immediately to: 781-293-4650.


Dog licenses are renewable on January 1st of each year.

Licenses renewed after February 28th will incur a $15.00 late fee per dog.

Licenses may be obtained at the Town Clerk's Office in the Pembroke Town Hall from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. If you no longer own a dog, please notify the Clerk's Office at (781) 293-7211.
