Pembroke Recreation Mission Statement:
We strives to provide exceptional and creative programs, services and facilities that foster community spirit and  involvement while serving the physical and social needs of all the residents.

The Pembroke Recreation Commission stands firmly against racism in any form. The current situation in the United States has unearthed a heartache our nation has endured for many centuries. We recognize that as a collaborative body within our community, it is part of our responsibility to bring people together. We will continue to provide a safe and inclusive space for all patrons but know it is important to always examine our systems, practices and programming. We are committed to an open dialogue with our neighbors and want to ensure any inequities, intentional or unintentional, we discover are corrected. Please continue to bring forward any questions, comments, suggestions or concerns about our offerings and/or events. There is still much work to be done to combat racism but we are committed to moving forward in a positive direction. 

Primary Responsibilities: The Recreation Department manages and implements countless programs throughout the year; manages and overseas several Town properties, and works with other Town Departments and community organizations.  The Recreation Department manages the use of the athletic fields (Magoun, Howard Bezanson). Libby Short Basketball Courts, Tennis Court, the Birch Street Playground as well as the playground at the Community Center facility. Recreation also collaborates with Pembroke Youth Baseball and Softball for use and maintenance of the JJ Shepherd Memorial Park - commonly referred to as the Mattakeesett Street Ball Park.

Facility Permit is required: 
For "regular" meetings of a group of individuals are considered organized use and require the issuance of a PERMIT for the Recreation Commission.  Fees may be charged for permits issued as defined by the  Town Of Pembroke-Recreation Commission's Playing Fields & Facilities Policies.
