Conservation Commission

Seven volunteer Pembroke residents are required for a full conservation commission. Each member is appointed by the board of selectmen for a period of three years. The members' mission is to protect the natural resources of the town of Pembroke. In order to do so, their actions are based on federal law, state regulations and local bylaws. Permits are issued contintgent on the type and extent of each project.

The commission is staffed by an agent and an administrative agent. The main responsibility of the staff is to obtain and disseminate accurate information to the commission members to help them make informed decisions on behalf of their fellow residents.

The conservation office, located on the first floor of the town hall, is open daily from 9:30AM to 2:00PM, but meetings and inspections may be scheduled outside of those hours to meet the needs of the commission as well as the applicants who propose projects.

For conservation related questions, please call (781) 293-4674 to speak to the administrative agent, Rachel Keller. For convenience, the administrative agent may be reached via email at rkeller@townofpembrokemass.org.

Call (781) 293-7735 to contact the agent, Robert Clarke.
