Eversource Project Resumes on West Elm St

Eversource Gas Main Replacement on West Elm Street has Resumed

Please note that one lane is open to through traffic; however, the contractor has informed the town that Wednesday, April 10, 2024 West Elm Street will be closed to through traffic, and detours will be in place.

The northbound lane of West Elm Street, between Oldham Street and Dwelley Street, will be under construction by Eversource who has resumed their work on the gas main replacement. 

At this time they have told the Town that all traffic will be detoured. Please allow additional time on your commute, seek alternate routes and obey signs and traffic officers in the area.

Last season there was through traffic permitted, but travel was reduced to one lane with police details at each location. Updates as to when they will allow through traffic on this project will be posted here.
