Latex paint is not considered hazardous waste. The paint should be emptied into a trash bag with cat litter so that it may dry up. Once it is dry, it can be thrown away with trash. The empty, dry metal paint can, should be taken to the Recycling Center and placed into the metal bin.
Latex paint that is still serviceable can be recycled through Recolor Paints in Hanover.
*Oil based paint needs to be disposed of at a Household Hazardous Waste Day
