UPDATED: Swim Lesson Sign Up to Begin June 24

Town of Pembroke beaches at Town Landing and Little Sandy Pond will be open with lifeguards on duty starting June 25, 2022 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily through Labor Day. The Director and lifeguards will be at Town Landing beach on Wampatuck Street on June 24, 2022 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for beach clean up and swim lesson sign up. Due to a serious and nationwide lifeguard shortage, swimming lessons will only be offered at Town Landing during the 2022 summer season.

Swim lessons for all ages will be offered from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm daily except for Sundays. Scheduling will be flexible due to the limited number of students in each class. Swim Lesson sign up will begin June 24, 2022 and run through July 4, 2022. Swim lessons will run for five weeks beginning on July 5th. Make up dates will be offered. The cost will be $125 cash or check, made payable to the Town of Pembroke. Class offerings will be: Monday through Friday for a half hour daily, or two days a week for an hour, or Saturdays only for one hour.

Everyone’s safety is top our priority. We will take every precaution stated in the CDC guidelines and mandated by the town to keep our staff and patrons safe during the covid pandemic. If you have any questions, please will free to contact Amy Hill, Director of Town Landing.

Stetson Pond and Furnace Pond beaches are open but not staffed with lifeguards. The public is welcome to swim at their own risk.

Please remember that no swimmies or flotations devices are allowed. Life jackets must say Coast Guard approved. The Town is adamant about resident and patron safety and absolutely no flotation device of any kind will be allowed unless Lifeguard approved.
