Community Resilience Building Workshop
When: Wednesday, October 6, 2021 | Time: 8am to 4pm
The Town of Pembroke has received funding from the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs to conduct a Community Resilience Building Workshop that will support development of a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Town has been impacted in the past by severe weather events and, like other Massachusetts communities, faces increasingly unpredictable weather. This changing climate brings challenges and opportunities for communities to plan for natural hazards.
To that end, the Town will conduct an 8-hour Community Resilience Building Workshop to obtain input from community members. Our goal is to identify the top four natural hazards facing our community and prioritize steps to reduce risk and improve resilience across the Town of Pembroke. We would love to have you participate!
All attendees must pre-register and complete the pre-workshop questionnaire and risk assessment form. If you are interested, please contact Sabrina Chilcott at schilcott@townofpembrokemass.org by September 30th to pre-register or to obtain more information about the workshop.
