The Recreation Department is accepting applications for an After School Counselors. We are looking for enthusiastic and team oriented counselors; shifts can be anywhere from one to five per week from 2:30/2:45- 5:00/5:30 PM. Experience preferred. The Department of Public Works is seeking applicants for Full-time Water Technician: Town of Pembroke Department of Public Works is seeking experienced individuals with a Drinking Water License. Wage range is $22.53 - $27.08 plus .75 an hour with 10 years’ experience plus $1.00 an hour with 20 years’ experience. Must pass a MADOT pre-employment physical and CORI check. Duties: This position oversees and administers the transportation program for the Council on Aging.  Work includes receiving and processing transportation requests, for both GATRA Dial-A-Ride and volunteer medical rides. Coordination and scheduling of both van drivers and volunteers; coordinates and schedules maintenance of vehicles. Requirements: A candidate for this position should have a High School Diploma or equivalent.  Experience in working with seniors is preferred. Good oral, written, customer service and organizational skills. Proficient in computer programs, including but not limited to Excel and Word. Technical training and a minimum of two years of experience in handling and caring for animals with Massachusetts Department of Agriculture Resources/Massachusetts Animal Fund Core Competency Training is preferred. This is a dynamic role requires knowledge of the applicable federal and state laws and Town ordinances governing the control and regulation of animals, of animal care procedures and animal handling procedures and practices. Candidates must possess the following abilities: the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with the public to explain regulations, take enforcement action and investigate complaints; the ability to capture and restrain various domestic and wild animals, including aggressive dogs; the ability to work independently; the ability to maintain records and prepare reports and the ability to use and care for firearms.
