Town of Pembroke announces through its state certified laboratory, that in all 31 distribution sites there was an absence of e-coli. However, there was a presence of some coli form bacteria. This bacteria was present in five of the 31 test locations.

Boil Water Order and all precautions associated with the order remain in effect until further notice.

A press conference will be scheduled for 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2008, to announce the results of the third round of samples taken this morning at the 31 distribution sites and shipped to the laboratory today.

The Town recognizes that this afternoon’s results were not as encouraging as this morning’s report but the fact that there was no e-coli detected is a positive sign.
