Recent lab results in 32 samples taken yesterday were absent of
total coliform which also means no E.coli.
However,
THE BOIL ORDER IS STILL IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.Today, Michael Quink of the DEP observed hydrant flushing and the chlorination station on Edgewater Drive and will continue to work with us until the problem is resolved.
The West Elm and Oak Street tanks were chlorinated today along with continued hydrant flushing and chlorine residual testing.
Hydrant flushing, sampling, and a temporary chlorination station on Edgewater Drive will continue throughout the weekend.
The next press release will be Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. Throughout this entire event, DPW Commissioners and the Selectmen’s Office have been involved and in contact with Senate President Murray and Representative Webster, who have responded with full support.
