The Town of Pembroke, through its state-certified laboratory, confirmed this morning that all 26 distribution samples taken system-wide on Saturday, August 9, 2008, were coliform absent meaning no E.coli were present.

Yesterday morning, Monday, August 11, 2008, all 26 distribution samples were again taken. They were shipped to the laboratory at approximately 2 pm Monday afternoon. DEP allows the results to be determined within 24 hours. The Town will issue another press release at approximately 4 pm today to announce those results.

There was a third round of samples taken at the 26 distribution sites this morning beginning at 7am and the Town anticipates those results being shipped to the lab by 4 pm today.

A press conference will be scheduled for 4 pm Wednesday, August 11, 2008, to announce those results.

Based on this information, it is believed the earliest the Town will know anything about the Boil Water Order will be Thursday morning.
