The Pembroke Board of Assessors is now accepting Property Tax Exemptions Applictions for FY2017.

Qualifications & Instructions

Type of ExemptionDescription
Senior Exemption - Clause 41C

Reduces local property tax liability for seniors 65 years of age or older. This exemption has Income and Asset Requirements.

Disabled Veterans Exemption - Clause 22

Reduces local property tax liability for Veterans or Surviving Spouse of a Veteran with a war related disablity determination from the Veterans Administration.

Surviving Spouse

Minor Child of Deceased Parent, Clause 17D

Reduces local property tax liability for surviving spouse or a minor child. This Exemption has Asset and/or age Requirements.

Blind - Clause 37A

Reduces local property tax liability for a person who is legally blind.  Person must be registered with the Massachusetts Commission.

Senior - Clause 17D

Reduces local property tax liability for seniors 70 years of age or older. This Exemption has Asset Requirements and is for ages 70 years and older.
