Web Site Committee Deborah Wall

Deborah feels a calendar of events would be useful for the web site. It was mentioned that the events, once set, could also be googled. The tentative dates for events in 2012 were discussed and the calendar gone over for the year 2012. Kathleen Keegan brought up that a website domain could be purchased for $8.00 per year. It was established that the domain could be called Pembroke 300th Anniversary. This was unanimously voted on.

Kyle brought up ideas that limited edition prints of various historical locations in

Town could be sold, perhaps with a silent auction at the opening event in January,

2012. Before this prints could be sold to help raise funds for the 300th Anniversary.

Perhaps the local access channel could be utilized for fundraising. Bill suggested that

The 300th Meetings could be on cable.

Kathleen submitted marketing information for the committee to go over. Bill

mentioned that he has a list of local businessmen he can give her for donations,

sponsoring, etc. Kathleen feels that her submission tonight would be a springboard

for the committee. Bill mentioned that there will soon be a Town Meeting and that

perhaps we, as a committee, can utilize that also. Perhaps we could have a table at

     Town Meeting. Discussion continued.

A booklet with the sponsorship and donation listing could be made up with the local

businesses in it. This could also be something that could be distributed at meetings

They would be interested in selling the pewter plates when available. Bill thought

it would be a good idea to involve all the banks in Town for this.

Fireworks Bob Dorsey

Carnival Bob Dorsey

Bob is looking into a site for the Carnival. Different sites were discussed. He feels that

3-5 days for this event would be good. He feels this would be good to have before

2012 as a fundraiser. He will bring more info later on the sites.

Town Sign Bill Boulter

Bill is contacting Sunrise Systems regarding a sign. This would be something that

would be donated by the 300th Committee to the Town.

Monthly Newsletter no report

There is no chair for this committee as yet. Deborah Wall will put something together

for Janet to email.

Regular Town Events

It was mentioned that the regular town event committees need to be contacted in order

to make sure of dates, etc., so we do not conflict in dates with these other committees.

Religious Activities no report

It was mentioned that all the churches need to be contacted to make sure we involve

them in all our events, whenever possible. Janet will contact the Bryantville UMC and

it was stated that Claire Walsh will contact First Church in town.

Calendars

Bob Dorsey is looking into this for us. He will update as soon as possible.

7. New Business:

Bill feels after the logo project is complete, the next priority is fundraising. We will have to concentrate on the pins, plates, etc. This will help the Committee run the different events we wish to have. Without this, we will not be able to complete what we wish to do.

Meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m

Respectfully submitted,

Janet Fahey, Secretary
