DPW COMMISSIONERS MEETING

February 14, 2011

The meeting opened at 7:30 p.m.

Present were Jim Kilcommons, Paul Whitman, Ben Bastianelli, and Gene Fulmine. Also in attendance were Mr. & Mrs. Faucett for a consideration request.

Payroll, minutes and warrants signed by the Commissioners.

Faucett Consideration:

The Commissioners discussed the consideration submitted by the Faucett’s. It was discussed that the meter in question was tested three times by our department and then tested three times by Sensus after being replaced with a new meter. All testings came well within proper limits to show that the meter was reading properly.

The Faucett’s had a plumber come in to see if they had a leak. He stated that they had no leaks.

The Commissioners asked the Faucett’s if they had a pool. They state they do have an in-ground pool. After considerable discussion with the Commissioners, Ben made a motion that the Faucett’s pay at this time only for 80,000 gallons (this amount was taken by looking at their previous readings at this time of year). No other considerations will be made at this time.

The Commissioners wish to revisit this next fall to be able to make a better judgement on the Faucett’s bill and make any adjustments if necessary. There will be no demand or interest for this particular billing. Ben made the motion for this and the Commissioners agreed with this. At this point no remaining money will be removed from their account. Only the payment made by the Faucett’s will be removed. They were in agreement with this.

A letter will be sent to the Faucett’s with the amount that they need to pay at this time. They thanked the Commissioners for their time.

Mr. Faucett wished to congratulate the DPW for the plowing that they did on their street. He stated they did a wonderful job. The Commissioners thanked them.

523 Washington Street:

The Commissioners decided to deny the request for relief of interest and late charges Edward Mason. A motion was made by Ben and seconded by Paul. All in agreement. A letter will be sent.

Gene brought up, with the permission of the Commissioners, to pay Weston & Sampson for developer review $2,000.00 for Kaleo Path and $2,500.00 for Crescent Hill Farm. Paul motioned and Ben seconded. All in favor.

There will be no meeting next week – February 21, 2011 – holiday. There will be a meeting on February 22, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. if Galvin submits paperwork regarding the Swanberg property.

Meeting adjourned at 8 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Janet Fahey

Secretary
